Event:  The Corinthian Sailing Club (Organizing Authority) cordially invites you to an open regatta for all centerboard boats and the Corinthian Class Keelboat.

Rules:  The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).The Laser class rule requiring class legal sails is waived. 

Entry:  Registration may be completed online at the link above. Late registration (after Sunday, October 1, 2023) may be completed online or at the regatta site (on October 7, 2023). Sailing Instructions will be available online.

 Classes:  Three boats of any one design will race as a class. The starting order and class flag for each class will be announced at the skippers meeting and posted.

Entry fee includes beverages, Saturday lunch and Sunday continental breakfast and lunch. Saturday after racing snacks, beverages and the Saturday dinner will be provided by CSC as part of its First Saturday in October dinner social event.  Competitors may sign up for themselves, their families and guests for the Saturday dinner upon regatta registration at the cost of $15.00 per person.

Courses: Courses will be triangles or windward/leeward with a separate starting line as set forth in the Sailing Instructions.

  • Schedule:

    Saturday October 7, 2023  

    1000 - 1100 hrs: Check-in and late registration. 

    1100 hrs: Skippers meeting.

    1130 - 1230 hrs: Lunch.

    1300 hrs: Warning signal for the first race.

  • ·      Second and third races to follow.  Possible break after second race.
  • ·      No first fleet warning signal after 1630 hrs.
  • CSC First Saturday in October Happy Hour and Dinner following the last race.

    Sunday October 8, 2023

    0800 – 0930 hrs: Continental Breakfast.

    1000 hrs: Warning signal for the first race of the day.

  • ·      Two races are planned, back to back.
  • ·      No first fleet warning signal after 1230 hrs.

Lunch and awards presentation following the last race.

Scoring: The low point scoring system, Appendix A of RRS will be used except no score will be excluded. One race constitutes a regatta. Aero class finishes will be handled per Appendix A to the NOR.

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each class having ten or more competitors, the top 2 finishers in each class having six or more competitors and the top finisher in each class having five or fewer competitors.
